Joan’s Artist Statement

My Art is inspired by nature, revealing the softer side of the landscape. A colorist, my art captures the wonder of a fleeting moment and the quality of light as it defines the subject whether it be a landscape, still life or portrait. My style is best characterized as a balance between realism and Impressionism. I continue to expand my thru studies and teaching private lessons.
